For the third consecutive year, Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Lexus in the UAE, is participating in the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from April 21 to 23 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
“WETEX provides us with the appropriate green platform to showcase Lexus’ innovation credentials in the premium hybrid vehicle segment,” said Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Lexus at Al-Futtaim Motors. “In the UAE, we offer the largest lineup of premium hybrid models allowing us to cater for wider target segments within the luxury automotive market.”
Lexus will showcase its LSh, GSh, RXh and CTh at the exhibition. The vehicles are equipped with the cutting-edge Lexus Hybrid Drive (LHD) technology featuring an Electric Vehicle-Drive Mode that enables vehicles to run purely on electric power at lower speeds and with zero emissions.
Since its introduction, Lexus Hybrid Drive system has evolved and is now widely considered as the most advanced automotive powertrain in the world. Like the very best conductors, LHD orchestrates peak performance from its twin powerplants while also dramatically improving fuel-efficiency. When the electric motor operates alone, LHD provides a silent environment inside and outside the Lexus. It outputs zero CO2 emissions, and even in concert with the gasoline engine, delivers a clean-running operation to complete the four pillars of the LHD experience; performance, fuel efficiency, cleanness and quietness.
From launch, Lexus LSh was the world’s first prestige luxury and AWD V8 hybrid. With 438 total system horsepower, a 0-to-100 time of 5.5 seconds and world-class amenities, it’s no wonder that Lexus’ flagship sedan remains a leader among luxury vehicles today. Lexus RXh gives drivers more than they would ever expect, delivering efficiency and exhilaration with 295 total system horsepower. Lexus CTh is powered by a 1.8 liter full hybrid powertrain producing performance levels equivalent to a 2 liter gasoline engine, while the Lexus GSh defies compromise and convention featuring a 3.5 liter V6 engine - the innovative D-4S (Direct-injection 4-stroke Superior-version) and a highly efficient Atkinson Cycle engine.
